Dining for Hotel Guests

Hotel Guests stay on a Bed and Breakfast basis.  Dinner/Dinner reservations are not included.  If you would like a Dinner reservation in our restaurant please reserve your table at the earliest possible opportunity by calling 01524 415239. 

Hotel Check In

At check in you will be asked to complete a residents card (legal requirement) and provide evidence of your identity and address (in the form of a drivers licence/passport/utility bill).

Room Bookings

Hotel Accommodation is paid in advance. Cancellation received 7 days or more prior to booking will receive a full refund.

Incidentals

Bar and restaurant bills can be paid at the time or collated for payment on checkout or when they reach £100 whichever is sooner.

Payment Methods

You may be requested to pre-authorise a valid payment method to cover additional costs associated with your stay.

Damages

We reserve the right to charge for missing or damaged items from rooms which are discovered by housekeeping immediately following check out.

Valuables

We provide a safe in each hotel room.

Accessibility

Our Grade II listed building is a coaching house built in 1828 and therefore not all parts are easily accessible for wheelchairs, pushchairs. The entrance to the hotel is flat and there is a ramp to the garden room, accessible facilities and to the outside areas also. Our bedrooms are all on the first or second floor accessible by stairs. Unfortunately we do not have a lift so our hotel facilities may not be suitable for guests who finds stairs difficult. We will happily lift your suitcases to and from your room if you need assistance.

Dogs

With the exception of assistance dogs, we are unable to accept dogs in carpeted or lawn areas, although well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar and on the patio.

Children under 18 (excluding hotel services)

For licensing reasons children are welcome on the premises unto 9pm (unless staying at the hotel) if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Children Hotel Guests

Families are welcome to stay in The Morecambe Hotel. A cot or extra bed can be accommodated in several of our rooms. We also have a dedicated family room with a king size bed, a double sofa bed for one or two children and space for an additional cot. We do not have adjoining rooms but for families with older children may be able to allocate rooms on the same floor. We are unable to accommodate guests under 18 without a responsible adult.

Room Allocation

We reserve the right to alter the room associated with your booking at arrival.

Parking

There is a local public car park 70 yards away (opposite street).  Guests can stop and drop off at the door.

Visitors

Guests visitors are not permitted on the first or second floor of the Hotel but are welcome in the bar, restaurant, snug and garden.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited except in the designated smoking area on the external rear patio.

Restaurant

Pre-orders will be requested for group bookings of 8+ diners.

Please arrive in a timely fashion for your restaurant booking to ensure we are able to look after you and fellow diners well.

Data Protection

We are registered in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998

Complaints

We request that you report any complaints to the Duty Manager prior to your departure from the Hotel in order that we may take the opportunity to assist or understand and rectify the problem. 

Communications

We can be contacted by phone, email, website contact form and Facebook messenger.  We check email, website contacts and Facebook messenger once daily and will reply as soon as possible (this could be within 72 hours depending on shift patterns). For an urgent issue please call the Duty Manager on the main phone number.
